The Salt & Sea Retreat is designed for people who are carrying too much - mentally, emotionally, and even physically.
It is for the ones who keep functioning, but feel tired underneath it all.
Experience a transformative yoga retreat in Madeira Island, where the Atlantic Ocean meets volcanic cliffs and your body finally exhales.
Hosted in a luxury oceanfront villa in Caniçal, Madeira, this retreat blends daily yoga, meditation, nourishing vegetarian cuisine, and curated island excursions.
This retreat gives you what most “vacations” don’t: structure and space. Enough guidance to feel held. Enough freedom to breathe and come back to yourself.
The sea represents fluidity - emotions, adaptability, transformation, and intimacy with what’s real.
Salt represents purification - cleansing, grounding, and protection.
Together, Sea & Salt is a lived practice of letting go:
This isn’t forced. It happens naturally through daily practice, reflection, and the rhythm of the retreat.

Your 6-day retreat experience includes:
This retreat is designed to create space — physically, emotionally, and mentally.
You’ll stay in a modern villa overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, featuring:
The setting supports both community connection and private reflection.
This retreat is created for working professionals who look “fine” on the outside, but feel quietly drained on the inside.
It’s for you if you’ve been feeling:
This retreat isn’t about escaping your life - it is about returning to it with clarity.
Through yoga, breathwork, reflection, nourishing food, and a supportive small group, you’ll create the space to:
If you’re ready to stop running on autopilot and begin choosing yourself again - this retreat was designed for you.

This retreat is intentionally intimate (8 people only) because transformation happens faster when you feel safe.
With a small group, you get:
I’m not teaching letting go as a concept. I’m teaching it because I’ve lived what happens when you hold on for too long.
There was a phase in my professional life where things became quietly toxic - office politics, being sidelined, work that mattered slipping out of my hands, and a constant feeling of disrespect that I kept trying to “tolerate.” It didn’t stay at work. It followed me home as anxiety, breathlessness, and a mind that couldn’t switch off.
Around the same time, I had to step away from a podcast I had started with a friend. I was over-giving, crossing my own boundaries without realizing it, and expecting too much in return. I felt stuck - professionally and personally like I was trapped in a loop.
What shifted things wasn’t a dramatic “solution.” It was regular yoga practice. Not on-and-off. Not once in a while. When I started showing up consistently, something softened. I gained perspective. I learned to separate my worth from outcomes.
I found the courage to release what was draining me without guilt, without drama, and without getting trapped in it again.
I still have problems, like everyone does. But I don’t cling to them the same way. Letting go, for me, means choosing growth over stagnation again and again.

Hi, I’m Ruchi, the founder of Yogic Route. I teach yoga as a practical path: to steady the mind, strengthen the body, and create space inside your life. My retreats are built for real humans — with real schedules, real stress, and real needs. Based in Luxembourg, I share my practice through local in-person classes and by guiding transformative yoga retreats in India and other beautiful locations across Europe.
If you’ve been craving a reset that feels authentic (not performative), you’re in the right place.

Meet Andrea, your private chef. Originally from Goa, India, having
worked in Dubai and India, she is based on Madeira Island since 5
years. Her cooking style incorporates Ayurvedic principles, deep
respect for world cuisines and bountiful local produce.

Mel is a trained yoga teacher and sound healer. Her 200 plus
hours of sound healing training makes her one of Madeira’s most sought-after practitioners. She will guide our group into a deeply transformative sound healing session with gongs and a plethora of instruments.

To honour those choosing to invest in their wellbeing, we’re keeping this retreat intentionally small and deeply supportive.
