Experience a transformative yoga retreat in Madeira Island, where the Atlantic Ocean meets volcanic cliffs and your body finally exhales.
Salt & Sea is a 6-day, 5-night immersive wellness retreat designed for those seeking rest, reconnection, and meaningful travel.
Hosted in a luxury oceanfront villa in Caniçal, Madeira, this retreat blends daily yoga, meditation, nourishing vegetarian cuisine, and curated island excursions.
If you’ve been searching for a yoga retreat in Europe that combines tropical beauty, comfort, and depth — this is it.

This retreat is intentionally limited to just 8 participants.
We believe transformation happens in spaces that feel safe, personal, and connected.
A smaller group allows for deeper conversations, personalised attention in yoga sessions, and a close-knit circle where everyone is truly seen.
This is not a crowded retreat. It’s a carefully held experience.
Madeira, Portugal, is often called the “Hawaii of Europe.” With dramatic coastlines, volcanic sand beaches, botanical gardens, and year-round mild weather, it offers the perfect setting for a wellness retreat.
Unlike distant tropical destinations, Madeira is easily accessible from Europe — making it an ideal location for a November yoga retreat without long-haul travel.
Here, you’ll experience:
If you’re joining solo — you’ll feel welcomed. Many people do.

Your 6-day retreat experience includes:
This retreat is designed to create space — physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Kindly note that the daily schedule may change depending upon the weather conditions on that day.

Hi, I’m Ruchi, the founder of Yogic Route. I teach yoga as a practical path: to steady the mind, strengthen the body, and create space inside your life. My retreats are built for real humans — with real schedules, real stress, and real needs. Based in Luxembourg, I share my practice through local in-person classes and by guiding transformative yoga retreats in India and other beautiful locations across Europe.
If you’ve been craving a reset that feels authentic (not performative), you’re in the right place.

Meet Andrea, your private chef. Originally from Goa, India, having
worked in Dubai and India, she is based on Madeira Island since 5
years. Her cooking style incorporates Ayurvedic principles, deep
respect for world cuisines and bountiful local produce.

Mel is a trained yoga teacher and sound healer. Her 200 plus
hours of sound healing training makes her one of Madeira’s most sought-after practitioners. She will guide our group into a deeply transformative sound healing session with gongs and a plethora of instruments.

To honour those who commit early to their wellbeing, we offer a special early booking rate for a limited number of participants.
With only 8 total spots available, this retreat is designed to remain intimate and deeply supportive. Booking early ensures:
Once all 8 spots are filled, registrations will close.
